Non Invasive Aesthetic Dental Procedures

Non Invasive Aesthetic Dental Procedures

Non invasive treatments for nervous patients in Wickford.

Whilst a patient with a general fear of the dentist will usually, albeit perhaps reluctantly, undergo necessary treatment, especially if a toothache is present; it is sometimes a different matter when it comes to a non urgent treatment such as those used to improve the visual aspects of a smile.

Although declining to receive treatments such as implant placement or veneers may restrict the options available to give you the best looking smile possible, this doesn’t mean that we can’t help you to improve the way that your teeth look. There are still procedures available at the Cygnet Dental Practice Wickford that require no local anaesthetic and minor preparation, yet can still give your smile a boost.

Cosmetic bonding

Where teeth have become chipped or cracked, this can detract from an otherwise attractive smile, especially if the front teeth have been affected. Bonding requires no prior surgery and the bonding is simply, as the name implies, bonded to the teeth.

Teeth whitening

One of the most popular cosmetic treatments at our Wickford practice; having your teeth whitened is entirely comfortable and safe although cannot be performed if you are expecting a child or are breastfeeding.  Our home teeth whitening kit is an excellent and fast acting way to really improve your smile without any surgery.

Professional clean

In addition to being a great way to help prevent gum disease, having your teeth professionally cleaned by the hygienist can improve the quality of your smile. Not only does the high speed brush remove some surface staining, improving the colour of your teeth (albeit not to the degree of a whitening procedure), but, by helping to prevent gum disease, it helps your gums to remain a healthy and natural pink colour.

Dentures

Finally, there is no doubt that losing a tooth, and especially a visible one, can really spoil a smile. Many options to replace a missing tooth do require invasive dentistry, whether this be a dental implant or a bridge. Whilst implants especially, offer an arguably superior method of tooth replacement, for those who wish to avoid surgery, the use of a partial denture is an option. Modern dentures are much improved and we are happy to discuss the choice of dentures available at our Wickford practice.
